Marissa Fayer

Marissa Fayer had a successful 20-plus year career as a senior executive at leading medtech and diagnostics companies before she found her true calling. In 2016, she founded HERhealthEQ, which is focused on improving health and mortality rates for women while ensuring positive long-term social and economic outcomes in underserved communities around the world. She will speak to this experience and share insights on how technology is revolutionizing healthcare for women and driving positive change during a keynote session at IME East, which includes co-located Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) East and Plastec East, in New York next month.

HERhealthEQ partners with medical device manufacturers and hospitals to secure new or refurbished equipment and works with local hospitals, officials, and NGOs to put that technology to use. Thus far, the nonprofit has equipped communities in nine countries, including Ukraine and India. HERhealthEQ has the goal of impacting the lives of one million women by 2026.

Fayer’s keynote, The Future of Medtech . . . for Women, is scheduled for 10:30 AM at the MedTech stage on June 13.

IME East, which also includes EastPack, automation-focused ATX East, Design & Manufacturing East, and Quality Expo East, comes to the Jacob Javits Center in New York on June 13 to 15, 2023. For more information about the event, including numerous sessions devoted to advanced manufacturing, medtech trends, advances in packaging materials and design, and much more, go to the IME East website.
