MD&M West Keynote Speakers Address Transformative Changes in Advanced Manufacturing

Dr. Shawn DuBravac, CEO and President of the Avrio Institute, and LeaderLogic CEO Nick Webb have been announced as the keynote speakers at MD&M West in Anaheim, CA, in February 2025. MD&M West is billed as North America’s most comprehensive manufacturing trade show focusing on the medtech, plastics, automation, and design and manufacturing industry sectors.
Navigating the manufacturing landscape of 2025
Webb will draw on his expertise in innovation management at Leaderlogic to speak to the rapid changes affecting the advanced manufacturing landscape. During his keynote address, "Driving Growth and Innovation in Medical Device Design, Manufacturing, and Packaging," Webb will equip attendees with the tools necessary to drive growth, foster innovation, and implement cutting-edge technologies to successfully navigate the evolving landscape of 2025 and beyond. He will share practical strategies that empower leaders to anticipate industry shifts and seize emerging opportunities.
The AI revolution
DuBravac, a New York Times best-selling author with a focus on mass adoption of new technologies, will explore how AI is transforming manufacturing by driving efficiency, enhancing product quality, and enabling customization and sustainability. Through his consultancy, the Avrio Institute, DuBravac helps executives understand how technological shifts will impact their industries. In his keynote presentation, "AI and the Future of Manufacturing: Envisioning What's Next," DuBravac will highlight real-world case studies showcasing successful AI implementations in manufacturing, emphasizing the tangible benefits and lessons learned from these initiatives.
Event celebrates 40th anniversary
Formerly known as Informa Markets Engineering (IME) West, MD&M West celebrates 40 years with a new overarching brand name and continued emphasis on collaboration, adaptability and future focused strategies that drive manufacturing success, said Melissa Magestro, VP, Informa Markets Engineering. "With advancements in AI, design, evolving care delivery models, and sustainability reshaping the industry, MD&M West unites leaders across the manufacturing, medical device, and plastics sectors for meaningful conversations and exchange."
Along with more than 1,700 exhibitors on the show floor, the event will also feature over 40 conference sessions, five workshops, and more than 30 free educational sessions.
The event runs from Feb. 4 to 6, 2025, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA. Registration for MD&M West is now open.
The expo pass also provides access to Sustainable Manufacturing Expo, a new event dedicated to showcasing the latest technologies, innovations, and thought leadership for progressing sustainable manufacturing processes forward. It is co-located with WestPack, showcasing innovation and excellence in packaging solutions. Both events take place on Feb. 4 and 5, 2025, in the North Hall of the Anaheim Convention Center.
