PTFE industrial coatings feature a coefficient of friction between 0.05 and 0.20 and can operate continuously at temperatures up to 500°F. 

A company specialized in vacuum metalizing and the development of functional coatings recently updated its suite of products to include PTFE, FEP, PFA, and fluoropolymer coatings. The products from Mueller Corp. have applications in medical manufacturing as well as the aerospace and defense industries.

The non-stick PTFE industrial coatings feature a coefficient of friction between 0.05 and 0.20, depending on the load, sliding speed, and type of coating used, and can operate continuously at temperatures up to 500°F. They also can withstand temperatures as low as –454°F without loss of physical properties. Other properties include chemical resistance; hydrophobicity and oleophobicity; high dielectric strength, a low dissipation factor, and high surface resistivity; and abrasion resistance.
