SyBridge Technologies announced today that it has acquired Wachusett Precision Tool (WPT), a moldmaker specializing in the medical device and consumer packaging sectors. The 11th acquisition since its founding in 2019, Sybridge said that the transaction further expands its footprint in the life science and consumer end markets. WPT complements SyBridge’s Life Sciences facilities in California and Pennsylvania with a center in Massachusetts.

A manufacturer of high-precision prototype, pilot, and production molds, WPT is capable of supportive low-volume medical molding during product certification or ramp-up phases. The facility is equipped with a cleanroom, and WPT’s location outside of Boston, MA, is in proximity to many pharmaceutical, medical device, and consumer product customers. As a part of SyBridge’s Life Sciences business unit, WPT will leverage the SyBridge platform’s design, engineering, supply chain, and production capabilities, said the news release.
