Moll draws Mexican president to plant opening

Mexican President Vicente Fox was on hand for the opening of Moll Industries (Dallas, TX) third Mexican facility in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, removing the first part made from one of the facility''s 35 injection molding machines, and signing the press afterwards. Fox was showing gratitude for Moll''s latest investment in his country, a $13-million, 135,000-sq-ft facility, which will be fully operation by February of next year. The plant will create components mainly for the appliance industry, with some additional automotive, electronics, and consumer product applications, molded by machines ranging from 100 to 1650 tons.

Moll, which in addition to the three Mexican facilities, operates six facilities in the U.S. and one in Donegal, Ireland, indicated in the June 27 e-weekly, that it planned to be active in Asia by the end of 2005 as well.
