Kelli Ropach has been promoted to international business manager at the Dyna-Purge Division of Shuman Plastics Inc., replacing Joie Komarmi who retired from the position following a 35-year career with Dyna-Purge. Ropach, who joined Dyna-Purge in 2006, will be responsible for international sales and marketing through 24 stocking distributors located in more than 52 countries around the world. Prior to her promotion, she served as sales consultant for domestic and international customers
ElectriPlast Corp. has hired Paul Mackenzie to be its director of global sales. Mackenzie comes to ElectriPlast with experience in building cross-functional sales platforms. He most recently served as executive director of digital marketing and technologies for Vantage4 LLC, a Philadelphia based marketing and consulting firm to the automotive industry. ElectriPlast is a wholly owned subsidiary of Integral Technologies Inc.
Maroon Inc. (Avon, OH), a specialty supplier of additives, resins, pigments and packaging, has named Todd Giallorati as an account manager. Giallorati, who has eight years of sales experience with specialty chemicals, is based in Hilliard, OH and will be responsible for Maroon's Ohio and West Virginia territory.
Foster Corp. (Putnam, CT) announced several hires to support its work in the development and manufacturing of drug/polymer blends for implant, patch, and oral drug delivery applications. Mike Borek will be responsible for management of cGMP development and manufacturing projects as the group's project engineer. Borek served in a similar function at Davol Inc. where he was a senior advanced manufacturing engineer working on fiber, film, and fabric manufacturing processes for polymeric and other biomaterial based implants for permanent and bioresorbable soft tissue repair products. Jeffrey Adler has been hired as the group's cGMP extrusion technician. He came to Foster from drug maker Pfizer, where he served as lead pharmaceutical technical specialist. Richard Stoddard will act as the quality assurance leader, also coming over from Pfizer Inc., where he held manufacturing and quality assurance positions. Foster is a PolyMedex Discovery Group company.
Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) container and preform manufacturer Constar International LLC (Philadelphia) has named David Kerns to be the plant manager of its Atlanta production facility. Kerns comes to Constar from Trim masters Inc., a joint venture of Toyota Boshoku and Johnson Controls. He has previous molding operation experience with Johnson Controls, Kuhlman Plastic, and Masco Corp.
Bunting Magnetics Co. (Newton, KS) has added three design engineers to its technical services department. Matthew Mason, Cory Dreiling, and Brandon Bousquet, all recent graduates of Wichita State University, will initially concentrate on Bunting's material handling product line. Marvin Angleton, Bunting Manager, Technical Services and Quality, said the hires were precipitated by a large increase in sales starting in 2010.
