LyondellBasell (Rotterdam, the Netherlands) has named Bhavesh V. Patel as the senior VP, olefins & polyolefins-Europe, Asia and International (EAI), with additional responsibilities for licensing and catalyst sales. He succeeds Anton de Vries, who has left the company. Patel, who will be based in Rotterdam, joined LyondellBasell in March 2010 as senior VP, Olefins and Polyolefins - Americas based in Houston.  Prior to LyondellBasell, he worked with Chevron Phillips Chemical Co.

Chemical Market Associates Inc. (CMAI) has added two consultants to its global Business Advisory Service (BAS) and one to its global Market Advisory Service (MAS). Mukta Sharma and Tammy Lo joined CMAI from Nexant, along with Rob Peacock, formerly of Business Research Group (BRG) and IAL. Sharma, who spent 17 years with BP Chemicals before joining Nexant in 2008, will become a project manager in the business advisory services group, working from CMAI's London office. Lo joins CMAI with nearly 5 years of industry experience, most recently at Nexant where she covered a range of commodity and specialty chemicals across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Lo will be a technical research associate in the business advisory services group, working from CMAI's Valhalla, New York office. Peacock, who spent his early career at Frost & Sullivan's chemicals group as an analyst, spent the last 8 years as an associate director for BRG's European Chemicals unit. Peacock will work as an aromatics consultant in London for CMAI's market advisory services sector.

Color concentrates, pre-colored resin, and additive masterbatch supplier Plastics Color Corp. (PCC; Calumet City, IL) has added two sales people to its national staff. Chuck Walker will handle PCC sales in the southeast, working out of North Carolina. Noah Bronson, meanwhile, will concentrate on expanding PCC's presence in the consumer packaging market.

Plastics recycling firm Axion Polymers has named Gary Welsh as its general manager. Welsh, whose background includes polymer processing and automotive components, will focus on restructuring and increasing capacity at Axion's Salford plant outside Manchester, England. He will also be responsible for sourcing new feedstock materials, including co-mingled and mixed rigid engineering plastics.

American Maplan Corp. (McPherson, KS), a unit of battenfeld-cincinnati, has named Gary Feldscher as construction system salesman. Feldscher will coordinate and manage the sales and marketing of the complete product range including extruders, tooling, and downstream equipment related to the construction market. Feldscher has more than 25 years of experience in plastics, including sales, service, engineering, processing, and consulting in the fenestration and natural fiber composite markets.
