Most recently, Nowak was global marketing director at suitcase manufacturer Delsey, where she spent 13 years. She also has worked for medical device maker Boehringer Mannheim and Roussel Uclaf, the Argentinean medical product maker.

At injection molding machine manufacturer Sacmi, Giuliano Boffi has been hired with the goal to reassert and strengthen the company's marketing and sales of its Bi-Power machine range. Boffi has sales experience at a number of Italy's injection molding machine manufacturers including BM Biraghi and Italtech, and now serves as manager of Sacmi's Bi-Power business unit. The Bi-Power large tonnage twin-platen range has its roots in the Negri Bossi brand; Negri Bossi is a Sacmi Group subsidiary. Bi-Power production has been transferred to Sacmi Imola. The Bi-Power press range sees use in molding of automotive bumpers, garbage cans, pallets and other larger industrial parts. The company introduced this machine range at the K show in 2004.

At cast and blown film extrusion systems manufacturer Reifenhäuser, Bernd Reifenhäuser, one of three brothers managing the business, was named as chairman of the company's management board. Bernd joined the family business in 2008 after years of working in the automotive systems supply market and since then has co-managed the company with his older brothers, Klaus and Ulrich Reifenhäuser.

In a meeting with MPW at his company's HQ in Troisdorf, Germany, Ulrich Reifenhäuser said the selection of his brother Bernd as chairman of the board was taken to establish a single "boss" to help simplify lines of communication within the company. "We already streamlined the structures within the various business units, and now it was time to do the same for our holding," explained Ulrich Reifenhäuser. In addition, as the youngest of the three, Bernd's selection also fits into the family's planning for the future of the business, though neither older brother is close to retirement age.

Together with its subsidiaries Reifenhäuser Kiefel Extrusion, Reifenhäuser Extrusion, Reifenhäuser REICOFIL, Reiloy Metall, Polyrema, Reimotec/Motech and five international sales and service companies, the Group is the leading manufacturer of extrusion systems, screws and barrels. According to the company this financial year, its 100th, is likely to be its best ever. MPW Staff
