Incoe (Troy, MI) has named Gunnar Gramatzki as the new general manager of its European business unit based in Rödermark, Germany. Incoe’s German operation, which opened in 1978, features manufacturing, sales. and technical support. Gramatzki, who graduated in 1991 from Fachhochschule (Darmstadt, Germany), with a degree in plastics engineering, has worked in the hot runner industry for the last 11 years.
The Pittsburgh Technology Council has named Greg Babe, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of both Bayer Corporation and Bayer MaterialScience LLC (BMS), its Tech 50 CEO of the Year. Five area CEOs were finalists for the award, which considers individuals that make “significant company-wide contributions while demonstrating outstanding management and high levels of peer esteem.” Babe began his Bayer career in 1976 and was appointed president and CEO of Bayer Corp., in addition to his current role with BMS, on Oct. 1.
Renewable plastics and chemicals manufacturer Novomer Inc. (Boston, MA) announced it will move its headquarters to Ithaca, NY and name Jim Mahoney as its new chief executive officer. Novomer also named Peter Shepard as vice president of business development. Mahoney comes to Novomer from Surface Logix, where he served as CEO. The company said that it will maintain business development and marketing in Bostion, growing R&D in Ithaca near the technology’s birthplace of Cornell University.
Engel de Mexico named Alberto Meade Garcia as the new general manager of its new headquarters under construction in Queretaro. Meade will manage the sales and technical service for Engel customers throughout Mexico. Meade, who has previouse experience in Mexico with Engel competitor Husky and construction equipment supplier Caterpillar, holds a civil engineering degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico.
