This 32-year-old company is an ISO 9001:2000-certified full-service injection molder, offering design assistance, mold construction, intricate molding, and component assembly. The Design Tool & Engineering subsidiary of the company now has a Haas VM-2 vertical milling machine to produce high-quality molds with fine surface finishes. Since the machine offers a positional accuracy of ±0.0002 inch, complex molds can be produced to mold very small parts for a multitude of industries, including medical device and aerospace. The VM-2 can also run unattended and can change tools in less than 3 seconds.
“Because of its unique capabilities, this machine has significantly increased our capacity in fine machining,” says Annette Lund, VP at Diversified Plastics. “Our new machine has allowed us to decrease our tooling lead times and be more responsive to our customers’ needs.” —[email protected]
