New oil grade pushes hydraulic efficiency 6%

The Mobil DTE 10 Excel series can help provide quantifiable increases in hydraulic efficiency compared to the company’s standard hydraulic oils, with this possibly translating to reduced power consumption or increased machine output, and the corresponding monetary savings. Compared to ExxonMobil’s standard hydraulic fluids, these new ones lasted up to three times as long while maintaining hydraulic system cleanliness and component protection during tests conducted by the supplier.

Hydraulic oil consumption and quality, and a processor’s ability to keep his oil costs down, can prove a key determinant in a processor’s efficiency, as noted by German closure molder Bericap during this presentation at machine manufacturer Arburg. [email protected]
