Nippers for degating sprues come in various sizes

A new line of nippers for degating sprues is available with adjustable mounting brackets that fully integrate with the manufacturer's modular robotic end-of-arm tooling. Two styles are available. One is a round style that simply clips the sprue, and the other has a short stroke movement to ensure cutting the sprue as close to the part as possible.

Three sizes, which are defined by the sprue diameter size, are available for each style of nipper: 6 mm, 12 mm, and 18 mm. Every style and size of nipper has 10 blade sizes, which are fully interchangeable. The mounting hardware includes a fixed mount, an adjustable angle, and a spring release on the mount. The gripper components may be used for degating with a robot's end-of-arm tooling or with a separate degating station. The nippers (with blade included) range in price from $399 to $1150.
