Nozzle, gating systems reduce energy use, workload

Article-Nozzle, gating systems reduce energy use, workload

The Rectangular Valve Gating system provides a number of advantages for molders. Processors can eliminate cold runner systems as well as injection points on the part. These units can solve problems that competitive valve gating often bring where a cylindrical valve gating can't inject in thicknesses narrower than 1.5 mm.

The company is also offering its Undervacuum Nozzle that permits no air to enter the cavity. This permits better filling of the mold, reduction of flash, a lower pressure can be used for filling and holding, and the mold life is said to increase by reduction of pressure, heat, and chemical abrasion. The company's Screwed Nozzle is directly screwed into the manifold. There is therefore no contact between mold and the nozzle cap. This allows adjustment of wires rotating the cap by 10-20 degrees.
