Corbella said that the event has already signed up 1000 exhibitors, and of those, 20% are new and 25% come from outside Italy. Fully 80% of the show space is already locked up for the event, which collocates with Plast, Grafitalia, and Converflex for a “mega” show promising 150,000 visitors and 4000 exhibitors at Milan’s new fairgrounds. New to the event this year is a forum to address world hunger, with collaboration from the United Nations, the World Food Program, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development. “Developing countries need to do more than learn how to grow food,” Corbella said. “This is the first step and a fresh approach to deal with a serious problem.”
IPACK-IMA is collocated with Plast ’09.
