3 Brilliant Examples of Plastic Packaging Possibilities

The Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) announced the winners of the 2024 AmeriStar award competition, honoring 20 packages that demonstrate packaging excellence.

Entrants competed in 17 product categories, which included numerous consumer goods as well as industrial/commercial products and medical devices. The judging criteria were package economics, environmental impact, innovation, marketing, package performance, and product protection.

Plastic figured prominently in many of the winning package structures.

PlasticsToday picked three rigid plastic winners that got our attention; these include a large-format, handled water bottle; a sustainably minded, more convenient-to-use hot-sauce bottle; and a child-resistant closure that can be operated single-handedly.
