To mark National Packaging Design Day on May 7, Amcor has released the second episode in its Beyond the Bottle video series.

In this two-minute video, Amcor executives explain how they collaborated with Function of Beauty to increase the amount of post-recycled content used in its packaging. This was particularly challenging because a core part of the company’s branding resides in the clear plastic bottles that allow the colorful formulas of its hair, skin, and body care products to visibly shine.

Amcor created custom 8- and 16-ounce bottles made of 100% premium-grade recycled PET that maintained the coveted customer experience. The video tells the story of Amcor’s role in this collaboration, which encompassed preform, bottle design, and manufacturing, that celebrates sustainable beauty in design.
