Dutch packaging firm Oerlemans acquires foil specialist Flexpak

Both companies are located in the Netherlands

Flexible packaging producer Oerlemans Packaging Group (Genderen, the Netherlands) has purchased laminated foil specialist Flexpak (Geldermalsen, the Netherlands) as part of the company's growth strategy.

Flexpak's Managing Director and owner Thies Oosterhuis, who will retire following the transaction, said: "I am very happy about the acquisition by Oerlemans Packaging. In the end, all employees can continue to work and deliveries to our customers are guaranteed for the future."

Flexpak produces printed OPP, CPP, BOPP foils and sheets for the food industry at its factory in Geldermalsen, where it will continue to operate business as usual.

Joan Hanegraaf, Director of Oerlemans, added: “The acquisition of Flexpak is part of the growth of Oerlemans Packaging. With these new production possibilities we can offer our customers an even wider range of products and services. Therefore, I’m very honored that Flexpak will be part of the Oerlemans Packaging Group.”

The Oerlemans Packaging Group operates seven production sites and offers a wide range of flexible packaging solutions to a number of different end markets. The company is comprised of Oerlemans Plastics, Plasthill, Perfon, Oosterwolde Plastic Industrie, Fardem Packaging, and now also Flexpak.
