Sometimes a packaging design is so good that you can’t take your eyes off it.

That happened to me after seeing a pair of Old Spice bottled beauties of shower gel in the bathroom closet.

They’re tall, dark red, and handsome with a color scheme that’s so darn appealing.

My wife thought so, too, because she’s the one that bought them.

This was more than just a “packaging crush” based on looks, though that was crucial to make a good first impression; as important, these 24-ounce high-density polyethylene bottles offered design depth and details.

They also showed a playful side that, frankly, made me grin. I was smitten.

Let’s unpack the engaging packaging design aspects in the following slides for Old Spice Captain “scent of bergamot.” We also learn how recyclable the red-pigmented bottle is or isn’t.
