Flexible packaging manufacturer Oracle Packaging (Winston-Salem, NC) just installed a Davis-Standard extrusion line at its 450,000-square-foot production facility in Winston-Salem, NC. The capital investment expands Oracle’s extrusion technology and will deliver new capabilities and capacity to its customers.
The new extrusion line is the largest investment for the privately-held company in quite some time. The project was officially completed at its headquarters in December and its first products have already been delivered to customers.
The decision to make this investment was two-fold, according to Oracle CEO, Jim Squatrito, “As a part of our strategic planning process, we recognized the need for an investment that would meet the increasing demands of our customers in terms of sealant performance and improve overall economics. The marketplace is becoming more and more challenging and technology investments are required to meet the expectations of our customers.”
Oracle specializes in laminates that combine specialized aluminum foil, steel, film, paper, resin, adhesive and printing capabilities. Applications include custom lid stock, pouch stock, cable armoring, and building products requiring specific barrier and sealant performance for some of the most valued brands in world.
Oracle Packaging is owned by Centre Lane Partners (New York, NY).
