Starpack invites nominations for packaging awards program

UK-based Starpack is inviting nominations for its annual industry awards program, which recognizes achievements in packaging in a broad range of categories. The entire packaging community is eligible to enter, but the packaging must be in commercial production, new to the market as of January 2104 and must be either researched, manufactured, sold, filled or designed in the United Kingdom.

Here are some of the key categories:

Shooting Star Award: Given to a young packaging professional who is making a real difference beyond the call of duty. Companies are invited to nominate people within their business operations or industry and explain in no more than 300 words how he or she has made a difference.     

Packaging Development Team of the Year: Given to a development team or individual that has made a real difference by adding innovation and added value to customers in the last 12 months.

A number of categories recognize packaging innovations in an array of industries, including food, beverages, luxury products and health and personal care; within industrial applications; and that have moved the needle on sustainability. The entire list of categories can be accessed here.
