Partnership brings added functionality to NC programming solutions

Through a partnership with CGTech, Parametric Technology Corp. is now adding three new options to its Pro/NC software based on CGTech?s Vericut product line. The new options include NC Verification for the inspection of postprocessed data, NC Optimization for toolpath optimization, and NC Machine Simulation for machine kinematics simulation.

As part of this partnership, Vericut will now be available for Pro/Engineer, a replacement for Pro/NC-Check, providing Pro/NC users with an NC simulation solution. Vericut is fully integrated with Pro/NC and provides users with the same capabilities as Pro/NC-Check, as well as advanced features such as part rotation and multiwindow display. Vericut for Pro/Engineer will be available to all new Pro/NC customers for no additional charge with Pro/Engineer 2000. Pro/NC customers who already have Vericut will benefit from improved interface.

In a separate development, Parametric has developed Pro/Mechanica 2000i mechanical design automation software. It allows users to evaluate and optimize the mechanical performance of product designs in real-world situations, reducing the need for physical prototypes and enhancing overall product quality. It incorporates a new Windows-based user interface and feature-based modeling capabilities for structural, thermal, and motion simulations.
