Plastics packaging: Fabri-Kal helps customers promote their use of sustainable packaging

Article-Plastics packaging: Fabri-Kal helps customers promote their use of sustainable packaging

Disposable foodservice packaging processor Fabri-Kal (Kalamazoo, MI), which employs more than 800 people in five facilities in the U.S., says its established Al?r range of thermoformed, transparent amorphous polyethyelene terephthalate (APET) round deli containers are now made with a minimum 20% of post-consumer recycled (PCR) material. New there is that the firm is confident enough in the supply of PCR-APET to make the switch.

More novel, though, is that the company is helping its customers to promote their own sustainability measures, in a way that makes Fabri-Kal look good in the bargain. Via the Fabri-Kal website, the processor offers its customers point of sale (POS) materials that communicate the Al?r sustainability / recyclability story free of charge.
