One of the leading MIM molders in Asia recently provided some details on its operation. Advanced Materials Technologies (AMT) of Singapore was founded in 1990 with a mission to develop and commercialize advanced-materials-related technologies, including MIM. AMT’s parent company is Singapore Technologies, a technology-based multinational conglomerate.

AMT’s 2500-sq-m production floor in Singapore’s Jurong East district is fully equipped with leading edge automated machinery and unmanned equipment, most of which was developed by its own highly skilled engineers. AMT is a full-service supplier that produces precision parts for a variety of global markets.

CAD technology is used to optimize part design for manufacturability. And the company compounds all of its feedstock in-house. Currently, AMT runs five Arburg molding machines, and high-temperature furnaces are used for sintering. A wide range of testing equipment is available to control finished part quality.
