PPE supplies nine types of screw tips and a full line of H-13 OEM-direct replacement check ring valve parts. The tips are designed for use with OEM screws and barrels that plasticate general purpose materials and are designed for small precise shots, good color mixing, and quick shut-off on injection.
PPE H-13 Free Flow Tips are designed for use with OEM screws and barrels made from wear-resistant steels for plasticating abrasives or filled plastics and heat-sensitive materials. H-13 material is used because it withstands wear and torque stress better than other tool steels in its class. CPM9V steel is also more wear-resistant than other steels. Coupled with free-flow design, it aids in the molding of all glass- and mineral-filled plastics without the resultant wear common to other steels.
A highly wear-resistant four-piece check ring valve has a ring and seats made of H-13, CPM9V, CPM10V, and CPM15V steels. The stud is made of 4140 aircraft quality steel that is heat treated for maximum torque strength. Seat and ring materials can be mixed and matched in the four-piece design to achieve maximum wear resistance for specific applications. This design allows replacement of the worn part only. Carbide insert free-flow design check ring valves incorporate important valve features without the expense of CPM9V.
New barrels have wear-resistant tool steel and bimetallic liners produced by a variety of common processes: nitriding, chrome plating, and flight hard surfacing with Stellite 6, Colmonoy 56, and Extrudalloy 50.
Standard screws are manufactured of 4140, 135M, D-2, CPM9V, CPM420V, and Hastelloy materials.
