Amplifier For Strain Gage Transducers Is DIN-Mountable

0401pn-12.jpgSensotec's Model DV-05 in-line amplifier for strain gage transducers features a rugged plastic enclosure that mounts on a standard 35 mm DIN rail. Calibration and set-up are said to be made easy with a relay-buffered shunt calibration circuit, which allows span adjustment without the need to apply a known input to the sensor. All electrical connections and zero and span adjustments are accessible from the front.

The unit requires 11-28 v dc and provides a regulated, field-selectable excitation voltage to the transducer of 3 or 5 v dc. The transducer millivolt signal is amplified to a high-level 0-5 v dc output, with a frequency response of dc to 5000 Hz. Operating temperature range is from -20 to 180 F.

The unit measures 22.5 x 110 x 75 mm and can be stacked on a standard DIN rail. Prices start at $295.
