Arburg marks 10 years in Brazil.
Prior to the opening of the office, Arburg had representation in Brazil going back decades through trading partners, with the first Arburg press delivered in 1967. In 2004, the local subsidiary, Arburg Ltda., moved into a new building of its own in São Paulo. Since that time, the 700m2 facility has provided local customers a spare parts store and large demonstration room that includes four Allrounder machines for tests and training.
Kai Wender has been managing Arburg's Brazilian subsidiary since 2006, having moved to Brazil from Arburg's Lossburg headquarters in 2001. Brazil Arburg now has 12 employees, with three—Jeziel de Oliveira, Elizabeth Gasparek, and Joelson da Silva Freitas—having been there from the start. Given the vast size of Brazil, the subsidiary receives sales support from 16 remotely located representatives.—[email protected]
