Bayer MaterialScience (Leverkusen, Germany) has set up a distribution deal for its carbon nanotubes, dubbed BayTubes, with Brenntag Schweizerhall (Basel, Switzerland). “For us it was crucial that Brenntag Schweizerhall possesses a strong position in the Swiss markets that are important for [our business in this sector],“ says Martin Schmid, head of global BayTubes business at Bayer MaterialScience, at the agreement signing. This is not Brenntag’s first venture into carbon nanotubes. Brenntag and Bühler PARTEC, (Uzwil, Switzerland), a company active in nanotechnology, agreed to collaborate on bringing carbon nanotubes to the market in November. This collaboration involves the development and production of tailor-made dispersions by Bühler and their marketing and distribution by Brenntag Schweizerhall.—[email protected]
