Big savings potential

SIZE REDUCTIONFor large-scale blown, cast, and biaxially oriented film extrusion lines, the need to economically reuse post-production waste will only rise as the price of polymer does. The XT recovery systems provide suction and grinding of edge trims that can be fed back into the production stream. Model 160-60, the largest in this series, provides a throughput from 1200-1500 kg/hr. The XT grinding chamber has an inclined cut to allow the intake of heavy and trimmed scraps. The chamber itself is made of anti-wear steel that contains a three-knife rotor with a scissors cutting configuration. An alternative is a five-knife rotor with an arrow-cutting configuration.Tria SpA, Cologno Monzese, Italy; +39 02-273-451; www.triaplastics.com
