npe12.jpgExisting Products On Display A range of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) will be on display, including:

* The MICROXCEL PFX 454 is now available with Reflex measuring software. This low-cost, intuitive software is said to bring manual CMM simplicity to high-speed, direct computer control (DCC) measurement and inspection operations at a fraction of the cost of traditional DCC CMMs. The PFX Reflex can be switched quickly between manual and fully automated, DCC operation while running the same software.

* The Chameleon (Mar '99 PA, p 37) combines single-point measurement and multi-point scanning technology and is designed for users who need to perform dimensional measurements on prismatic parts using single point techniques, and who also need a machine that can gather large amounts of data quickly for accurate form definition.

* The Gage 2000 R Series Measurement Station replaces traditional manual measuring tools and provides automatic data collection and analysis for a variety of shop floor measurement-and- inspection applications. The simple design and operation of GAGE 2000 R allow non-experienced shop personnel to perform 1-, 2- and 3-D measurement routines without the need for computer keyboard entries.

* The DEA Mistral is a combination manual/DCC CMM that provides a variety of measurement and inspection options in a single machine. A single central hand grip allows simultaneous control of the machine's three axes in the manual mode. The work envelope is accessible from all sides, and the bridge shoulders are shaped to allow maximum workpiece visibility. By flipping a toggle, users can easily switch from manual to full DCC operation. In the DCC mode, MISTRAL can gather up to 45 points/min.
