FDA-approved plastic link style belting is a key component of a modular conveyor that comes ready for dust-free and cleanroom environments. The DynaCon modular conveyor has been independently tested and meets Federal Standard 209D Class 1 (ISO Class 3) ratings for airborne particulate matter in cleanrooms and clean zones.

Supplied by Dynamic Conveyor Corporation (Muskegon, MI), the conveyor operates using energy efficient brushless DC motors that do not emit carbon like comparable brushed motors. The gearboxes are maintenance free and designed to meet clean room conveyor standards. They are grease packed, require no lubrication and eliminate the potential of leaking oil.

NF_100630_Dyna_Web.jpgThe plastic link style belting employed is self-lubricating, requires no maintenance, and is easy to clean and repair. Injection-molded plastic belting modules are interlocked with dust-free hinge pins. Positive sprocket drive and tracking with the plastic link-style belting eliminates slippage, edge damage, and dust buildup. Additional options (ionizing blowers and bars) for eliminating static electricity from sticking to parts, product, or the conveyor belt are also available.

DynaCon conveyor systems can be enclosed in a HEPA tunnel, consisting of a HEPA filter and enclosure. HEPA tunnels tackle airborne particulates 0.3 micrometers in diameter, which are the most difficult to filter, and are filtered at an efficiency rate of 99.97% or greater. Particles that are larger or smaller than 0.3 micrometers in diameter will be filtered at an even higher efficiency. HEPA tunnels can be installed on any section or the entire length of the DynaCon modular conveyor. Conveyor widths range from 4-60 inches. —Stephen Moore
