npe20.jpgWhat's Hot! This first-time NPE exhibitor is introducing its 95 Series variable-speed test stand. The tensile and compression tester is available with the manufacturer's Digital Documentation System, low-cost Digital Force Meter or the economical Analog Gauge Cell. These systems are said to be ideal both for physical testing of materials as well as monitoring quality on the production floor.

The 95 Series incorporates newly designed electronics. A new front panel features a two-line 'Message Central' display that reports speed, deflection, operation codes and error messages. Also standard are heavy-duty rocker switches, crosshead jog control, lighted emergency stop button, upper and lower travel limit switches and high-speed return. Speeds range from 0.01 to 30 in./min and forces are available from 4 to 5000 lb capacity. Prices are said to be 20 to 50% lower than that of the competition. Circle 237
