Company IntroducesIts Ultrasonic Welding Technology To ThePlastics Market

7.jpgStapla Ultrasonics, a company that specializes in ultrasonic metal welding equipment, is introducing a system for welding plastics. The K1 system uses a 20 kHz, 3000-watt generator that, once programmed, can be operated with the push of a button, according to the company. The system controls time, energy and both absolute and relative weld depth.

The system also includes a controller with a key switch on the input panel for selecting the operation level, an indexed exchange system for welding tools, self-calibrating force measurement and self-diagnostics. Automatic data adjustment is said to ensure repetitive welding results.

A PC control unit with touch screen is optional. Stapla will be introducing the K1 at NPE (Booth N-9361) and additional details, including pricing, will be available there.
