Controller Up to 16 gravimetric screw feeders, weighfeeders, solids flow meters or pumps can be graphically configured and monitored using AccuRate's new DisoCont-compatible DG-2000 Group Controller.

Unit has Windows NT-based software, installed on an industrial PC, which provides dynamic, coloredgraphic displays to show theoperating status of allfeeding devices at once, or each device independently. Alarms, feed rates, hopper levels, material usage and operating status are displayed for each device.

A touchscreen and graphically displayed keys allow users to easily view more detailed information, such as performance graphs or recipe and formula configurations. In addition, the DG-2000 isfieldbus-compatible, so DeviceNet, Profibus, Modbus and Ethernet can be used for communication with other processes in the plant.

Weighfeeder upgrade kits Have an old weighfeeder? Schenck Weighing Systems' Universal Weighfeeder Retro-Fit Upgrade Kits can convert them to a 'state-of-the-art performing system,' according to the company.

Two controller options are available:

  • The Intecont Plus 401 Weigh Integrator or Intecont Plus 403 Weigh Controller, which includes an industrial NEMA 4-rated housing and the ability to measure and/or control belt speed and load, depending on the controller chosen. Accuracies are rated at better than 0.5%.

  • The DisoCont Weigh Controller, which includes an industrial NEMA 4-rated housing and the ability to measure and control belt speed and load for feed rate accuracies within 0.5% of setpoint, 4-20 mA output for pre-feed control and optional Profibus, DeviceNet or Modbus interface.

Other parts of the kits include high-efficiency ac motors, variable-frequency drives, high-frequency digital speed sensors and all stainless steel, strain gage load cells. Circle 106
