Core pins speed heat transfer

TNP_Hasco_ac.gifMade from a beryllium-free copper alloy, Hasco?s new high-conductivity core pins report a rapid heat transfer that is as much as 10 times faster than traditional core pin steel. The rate of heat transfer can reduce overall cycle time by as much as 30% in certain applications, Hasco says.

The core pins can be easily machined and require no additional heat treatment. The pins are designed for use in areas where traditional cooling waterlines will not fit, or for cooling a thick section of a molded part. With a hardness of 20 Rockwell C, the pins are available in seven diameters ranging from 4 to 16 mm, and in three lengths from 160 to 315 mm.
