0901pn-14.jpgGuill Tool & Engineering's new Series 800 low-volume crosshead dies are designed specifically for wire, cable and fiber optic coating extruders. Thecrossheads have a patent-pending split balanced flow design, said to provide the flexibility of either fixed center or adjustable center dies. Built-in cartridge heaters eliminate cold spots for better flow.

Other features include a one-piece body and flow diverter for easy cleaning and quick change-overs and adjustable gum space for more control over product size.

The 800 Series can be used in a variety of extrusion configurations, including co-extrusion and multi-layer. Units can be designed to accept any extruder layout.

The 800 Series joins Guill's line of extrusion tooling products, including single layer fixed and adjustable center in-line dies, co-extrusion, triple extrusion, four and five layer, rotating and spiral crossheads manufactured in a wide range of materials from tool steel to Inconel. The 600 Series, the forerunner to the 800, features a removable, easy to clean head that saves downtime and labor.
