Customizable insert plates are easily changed

NP_Hasco_ac.jpgAn interchangeable insert located on a tool?s parting line allows quick changes of customizable information that appears on the part surface. The system consists of a marking unit and an interchangeable insert. The unit is assembled into the tool, and the interchangeable inserts come to the customer blank. Using EDM, engraver, or laser etching, the customer can place whatever information is needed onto the insert, including lot number, material, color, or other data. Three sizes are available (10 by 18, 20 by 25, or 25 by 30 mm), and the insert can be removed while the mold is in the press.
