The Sensor Kit attachment for the ASZ Series sprue cutters is designed for direct mounting on the body of standard nippers without need for modification. It senses when the sprue cutter blade is in the fully open position. This assures the blades have the necessary clearance when positioning before cutting. The unit ensures better control during cutting operations by avoiding missing cuts on sprues of molded parts. It also saves labor, assures proper functioning of an automation cell, and reduces rework. SAS Automation-Europe Robotergreifsysteme GmbH, Karlsruhe, Germany; +49 721 26360; www.sas-automation.com
