The company just announced that specialty micro tubing extruder MDC Plastics (Sderot, Israel) has added Davis-Standard winding technology, a Euro Blue extruder with DS e-TPC control, and an HPE coextruder, while hose manufacturer All-American Hose (Union City, PA) has added a 3 1/2-inch (90mm) Super Blue extruder with DS-eTPC.

Hose and tube customers are boosting business at Davis-Standard (D-S; Pawcatuck, CT). The company just announced that specialty micro tubing extruder MDC Plastics (Sderot, Israel) has added Davis-Standard winding technology, a Euro Blue extruder with DS e-TPC control, and an HPE coextruder, while hose manufacturer All-American Hose (Union City, PA) has added a 3 1/2-inch (90mm) Super Blue extruder with DS-eTPC.

MDC has been a D-S customer since its founding in the late 1980s. Over that time, it purchased seven D-S extrusion lines among other equipment. The uses D-S technology to run unique materials, including soft polyethylene, transparent PVC compounds, and new biodegradable technology.

All-American, which supplies rubber and polyurethane hose products, manufactures 6 million ft of hose per year, with this latest D-S line its sixth. The company purchased its first D-S extruder in 1982. In addition to hose for water delivery applications, All-American manufactures lay-flat hose for fire trucks and the military. Hoses are manufactured in sizes ranging from 1 to 8 inches (25 to 200 mm) with a variety of jackets and liners.
