Digital Injection Cylinder ControllerProvides Better Repeatability

pn27-100.jpgThe DPQ digital controller from Mannesmann Rexroth is for hydraulic injection cylinders with analog feedback. Unit has advanced control algorithms, which are said to allow fast, accurate system response and to deliver a more repeatable process than previously possible.

The DPQ includes user-selectable internal or external (analog voltage) injection profile control, easy set-up and the flexibility to be used with most injection molding machines. Closed-loop injection velocity and pressure profiles have completely bumpless transitions, according to the manufacturer, and hydraulic shock is eliminated in all conditions. Transfer from velocity to pressure control can be triggered by either injection cylinder position, pressure or mold cavity pressure.

Data acquisition and real-time graphing are included with the Rexroth WinHost software. A PC interface is optional because the DPQ can be commissioned exclusively by using the faceplate display and push-buttons.
