In March next year, Lindauer Dornier (Stand 3/A19) will deliver the first of two 8.7m biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) lines to leading India processor Jindal Poly Films (New Delhi). The lines, the first delivered to an India customer by Dornier, are capable of outputs of 6 tonnes/hr each, and speeds of 500 m/minute. The second line will be delivered in June 2008.

Jindal Poly Films currently has 90,000 tonnes/yr of production capacity for BOPP film as well as 90,000 tonnes/yr of capacity for BOPET film. BOPP capacity will thereby double to 180,000 tonnes/yr.—[email protected]
