E-shots Web-exclusive: Lanxess China plant

Lanxess has started up its first Asian production site for engineering resins Durethan polyamide and Pocan polyester on the Lanxess Wuxi Chemicals site 120 km northwest of Shanghai. A total investment of $25.6 million went into creating annual production capacity of 20,000 tons in this first phase. Asian market growth for these products is around 8% on average and as high as 13% in China. Lanxess plans to add another compounding line in the near future that will double the capacity.
