Liquid colorant and additive supplier Riverdale Color (Perth Amboy, NJ; www.riverdalecolor.com) has appointed a new president and CEO, Paul Maguire. The company says he will focus on operations management and expanding international business.

If the last name sounds familiar, it's because it also belong to his father, who started material handling equipment company Maguire Products Inc. In addition to working for dad, where he helped develop plastics material dosing equipment and process software, Maguire also started his own software and website development company, and he holds a U.S. patent on barcode recognition software.

Former Riverdale president Chuck Irish is now executive VP focusing on product development and will continue to work on advanced carriers that permit high color loadings and increase the cost-effectiveness of Riverdale's products for plastics processors.
