A new, compact weigh module from Mettler-Toledo (Columbus, OH) called the SWC515 Pinmount lets you economically convert your tanks, hoppers, and conveyors into safe and uncomplicated weighing systems. Available in three capacities-7.5, 15, and 22.5 tons-they can be used both for static and dynamic weighing applications. A 360° horizontal bumper and the rocker-pin load cell's self-restoring feature ensure easy installation and accuracy, according to the company. A stabilizer option for mixers and conveyors is available.

SWC515 Pinmounts are available in zinc-plated and stainless steel models and offer a number of safety features that reportedly exceed industry standards, not the least of which is a symmetrically supported top plate for optimum distribution of stresses in the weigh module and tank leg to minimize “bending moments.” They're also manufactured to comply with global metrology and hazardous area standards.
