E-shots Web-exclusive: Solid Concepts adds large capacity in laser sintering

Adding size to its arsenal of rapid prototyping equipment based on customer demand, RP supplier Solid Concepts (Valencia, CA) recently installed an Eosint P 700 laser sintering machine from EOS GmbH Electro Optical Systems. Previously, the company built sections of large parts on smaller machines, but bonding the pieces together added cost and reduced strength of the parts. Build volume on the new P 700 is 29 by 17 by 22 inches, and it contains dual CO2 lasers.
