Engel North America (York, PA) will exhibit an Engel e-mac 310/105 with the latest CC300 machine control system at the upcoming MD&M Minneapolis trade show and conference. The controller features intuitive operation, simple navigation, and a smart user interface, says Engel.
Ergonomics are a key design feature of the new controller. Reportedly as easy to use as a smartphone, the device makes operating even highly integrated and automated systems simpler, safer, and more comfortable than previous products. For example, the panel angle and height are automatically configured to the user's preference when he or she logs in via the RFID access card.
Other key features include:
Personalized information: User-specific information is stored for each operator. Basic information about the movement just performed is available without changing screens; additional details are quickly and easily accessed on the next menu level.
Central control: The new e-move provides unlimited adjustability, with accurate and safe control of all machine and robot movements, enabling one-button operation of the injection molding machine.
Robot integration: Both the Engel viper linear and easix multiple axis robots are fully integrated into the control unit, allowing control and monitoring of the entire manufacturing cell through the injection molding machine's control panel.
At the event, the e-mac will run a side-gated 64-cavity runner-less pipette tip mold supplied by Cavaform International LLC (St. Petersburg, FL) and hot runner controller provided by IMSI Inc. (Lynnfield, MA).
MD&M Minneapolis comes to the Minneapolis Convention Center on Oct. 29 and 30.
