Trelleborg Emerson & Cuming Inc. (Mansfield, MA; www.trelleborg.com), supplier of the Syntac and Eccolite Ultra lines of machinable and castable syntactic foams for thermoform tooling, has appointed the AIN Plastics Division (Madison Heights, MI) of ThyssenKrupp Materials North America, as exclusive distributor for these syntactic foams. These materials see use in the production of thermoforming molds and plug assists used in processing of a wide variety of thin and thick gauge thermoformed parts.
In addition to the Trelleborg Emerson & Cuming tooling materials, AIN Plastics also markets its own line of laminated pine and mahogany boards for prototype thermoform molds as well as Rampf modeling and tooling boards used for prototype and short-run production thermoform tooling. AIN Plastics’ sister division, Copper and Brass Sales, is one of the largest U.S. distributors of aluminum plate for milling thermoforming molds.
Inquiries may be made by contacting Dave Bowen, AIN Plastics national product manager, at T: 312-933-9561, [email protected].
