A new indexing conveyor reportedly offers the positioning accuracy of a single-track design with flexible dual-track versatility. By having an open-center design, the conveyors allow for a variety of inline operations of two parts, one for each track, or large parts up to 10 lb and 24 inches in length, riding across both tracks. The patented FlexLoc holder system is said to offer ±0.01-inch positioning tolerance.

The conveyor comes in widths of 12, 18, and 24 inches and can accommodate forming or punching heads, assembly fixtures, inspection, laser printing, tag application, and more. Standard conveyor lengths are 2-10 ft, and various stations and single- or multiple-pitch indexing enable single or multiple parts index.

The conveyor's accuracy derives from the dual pulleys that are precision machined on an integral shaft and mounted on a common frame with matched timing belts. The lower return support system prevents sagging belts or vibration, and an optional feature allows calibration of the holder to the belt tooth for greater precision. The drives available for the conveyors include brushless dc motors, stepper or servo, with index cycles as low as 0.5 second.
