For Pad Printers--New Sealed Ink Cup MonitorControls Ink Viscosity

1101pn-1.jpgThe Viscomat from Automated Industrial Systems (AIS) is designed to monitor ink viscosity inside a sealed ink cup on pad printing machines. If the viscosity varies outside a preset range, solvent is automatically added to bring the ink back to the proper viscosity, without operator intervention or interrupting production.

The Viscomat is mounted in the ink cup to allow for easy clean-up and color changeover. For multi-color operations, each ink cup has its own Viscomat. AIS says the unit is ideal for integrating printing into an automated production line.

Unit can be retrofit on other brands of pad printers, but you should contact AIS directly, as retrofitting is done on a case-by-case basis. Pricing varies depending on the size of the cup. Use the Key Contact Directory on p 42 for specific contact information.
