Gammaflux L.P. and Milacron LLC have reached a private-label manufacturing agreement wherein Milacron will distribute the complete line of Gammaflux LEC and TTC hot runner temperature controllers as auxiliary equipment options available with its line of injection molding machines. Milacron is also planning to integrate the Gammaflux controls directly into its machine control panels, in addition to using the stand-alone Gammaflux controllers for hot runner molding.Milacron_TTC2100single_HAL.jpg

Gammaflux's TTC controls have a panel-mount option that would allow them to be seamlessly integrated into the molding machine's control panel, according to Mike Brostedt, Gammaflux Director of Market Development, saving injection molders floor space by eliminating the need for a separate cabinet, in addition to allowing the molding machine to interface directly with the TTC. The Gammaflux control functions could then be accessed and displayed directly on the Milacron machine's human machine interface (HMI) or on a separate remote monitor.

Gammaflux features a 5-year warranty on all of its hot runner temperature control systems, covering all of the company's LEC and TTC products but excluding the touchscreen interface, which has a 2-year warranty. The LEC controllers are designed for smaller hot runner system applications, from two to 24 zones, available with two, six and 12 zone enclosures. The TTC family can handle up to 640 zones.

Wayne Taylor, business manager, Milacron's Purchased Products Group called the agreement "a partnership between two strong American companies, joining forces to help plastics processors improve their molding operations," adding that Gammaflux's hot runner offering further enhanced its auxiliary equipment portfolio.

Through its DME company, Milacron already suppliers hot runners, including the Galaxy, Stellar, and Eco Smart products, as well as valve gates, manifolds, and sprue bushings.
