Giant-sized unit promotes high throughput, precision

The MaxiBatch weigh-scale blender is designed for compounders, high-throughput extrusion processors, and those specializing in hard-to-handle bulk powers such as used in plastics/wood composites. The WSB gravimetric blender has an output of 3625 kg/hr (8000 lb/hr) and a batch size of 30 kg (66 lb), which is up to 67% larger than the biggest Maguire blenders (the 1800 Series) currently on the market.

The new unit accommodates nine removable hoppers and each hopper incorporates its own dispensing device, says Peter Skulski, sales manager. Dispensing devices include vertical valves for pellets and regrind and augers for powders, granules, and pulverized materials. Skulski says overall batch accuracy is within ±.1%.
